THE MANY GAINS OF FOLARIN'S VISIT TO OKE-OGUN

*THE MANY GAINS OF FOLARIN’S VISIT TO OKE-OGUN* The timing of the just concluded tour and political consultations embarked upon in the Oke-Ogun geo-political zone of the state, by the Distinguished Senator Teslim Folarin, flagbearer and gubernatorial candidate of our great party, the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) Oyo State, could not have been more appropriate.  With a basketful of gains, excitement and total turnaround, the tour could only be described indeed as a total success. The tour which preceded the commencement of campaigns proper was embarked upon by leaders and stakeholders of the party to, among other things, showcase our candidates, have extensive consultations, far reaching grassroots engagements, furthering efforts on reconciliation, familiarization with party members as well as seeking royal and spiritual blessings all across the zone. The trip which started from Ibadan on Monday 26th September 2022 was led by our amiable father and leader, His Excellency I...

Re: NGF Retreat and Makinde's Inglorious Outing (2nd May, 2019)

RE: NGF RETREAT AND SEYI MAKINDE’S INGLORIOUS OUTING A gentleman (or is it a lady) who operates in anonymity and with a fictitious name in the social media space, as the “EAGLE EYE”, took it upon himself to assassinate the character of the Oyo State governor-elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde, trying to drag him into the mud, to malign him, to prematurely distract him, to drag him into their gutter politics and to create a collision course between his administration and the good people of Oyo State, even right from embryo. In a badly written, ill-informed release by the “EAGLE EYE”, adorned with terrible spellings and bad intent, titled as stated above, he made mention of Seyi Makinde stepping into “shoes bigger than his feet”. He fingered out his “vulnerability”, “indecorous nature” and “deficiencies in public speaking”, as well as so many other unprintable phrases, far out of context of acceptability and realm of constructive criticism. He even queried if our governor-elect is “well r...

TASOOLO: BETWEEN AMBITION, FATE AND STATESMANSHIP The last 48 hours have been very dramatic and revealing to me as a man and as a politician, returning me to that important teaching of the of the Holy Quran which says “With Him are the keys of the invisible. None but He knows them. And He knows what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falls but He knows it, not but a grain amid the darkness of the earth, nor anything green or withered but is recorded in a clear book” (Quran 6:59)  I have a vision on serving humanity and I have committed my entire life growing it. I have put my best learning the rope, taking tutelage, seeking knowledge and strategically positioning myself to the realization of my dreams and aspiration. But Allah is the final decider. And only God knows the time and the hour, I do not know but definitely, THE TIME HAS NOT COME! The waves of the results of the presidential and national assembly election conducted on the 23rd of February, 2019, in Oyo state, n...
