 THE GIDEON AREMU THAT WE DON'T KNOW !!

The present political situation in the land can best be described as a 'jankara' market (a black-market sort of) whereby any product goes for as long as money comes in. But even at that, the few who are equipped with age long antecedence and who can still reason and see, will still pass a fair, mild and accurate judgment and as such, take their decision in the good side of posterity.
I have known Gideon Aremu, the candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for the Oyo State House Assembly election coming up on Saturday, the 11th of April 2015, since in the 90s. He was a year ahead of me at the highly exalted Irepo Grammar School, Igboho, where he graduated in 1993 with a record that called for the envy of many. He was a very intelligent student with a very abnormal and scary skill, Further Mathematics was his best subject and he, with the combined efforts of his co-scholars then, influenced a lot of students then, especially, in the sciences, and that led to a general improvement in WAEC results all over the Local Government area, my good self inclusive.
He discovered early in life, the honour of service and patriotism and he exhibited this by joining the Nigerian Army, immediately after his secondary education. He served this country meritoriously and with selflessness for nearly a decade. He then went back to the University of Ilorin in pursuit of his dream for a bachelor's degree in Statistics. All this while, he never disconnected himself from his ''click of hot-heads'', few of which are the likes of Dr. Yusuff Oladosun, who emerged as the best graduating student in 1993 and who later obtained his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the same University of Ilorin, also the likes of Dr. Moshood Olanrewaju of the University of Alberta, Canada, where he obtained his PhD with Distinction and also, the likes of Ajila Salis, who later became a chartered accountant in about the shortest possible time that I am ever aware of, after a first degree in Agriculture at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, and many others that space will not allow me to mention.
Gideon Aremu missed first Class in just a whisker, but he came out stronger in his master's programme as one of the best graduating students of the year and today as we speak, he is a doctoral student and a researcher.
An easy going Christian, very energetic and humble. A great lover of his people and a loud voice in youth advocacy. He served Oorelope Local Government in the past as a member of the Care-Taker Committee and he came out without any criminal or financial dent. It is on this note, that I choose to, at the expense of offending other contenders, who are all my brothers, show you the very bright picture of him that I know.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the able and capable candidate, for the Oorelope Constituency Seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly. I present to you, humbly, Honourable Gideon Aremu.
A vote for Gideon is a vote for restoration......PEACE........TASOOLO !!

STILL ON DEMOCRACY DAY CELEBRATION AND STEWARDSHIP OF GOVERNANCE IN OORELOPE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF OYO STATE. The jamborees of 29th May, 2018 democracy day celebration have come and gone just like the ones before it in the past. All across the nation, governments at all level are falling on one another, be it local, state or federal, willingly submitting their scorecards and performance sheets for their people to see, digest, know, analyze, criticize, applaud, accept or reject. That is the norm. That is the practice.
